After the excitement of the Sprint qualifying the Race qualifying was a bit of a letdown. Or more accurately, more of what we are used to. The biggest disappointment for me was Ricciardo qualifying last. The race itself however was amazing! Action all the way up and down the field. Magnussen doing more Magnussen things and trying to go for the record of most penalty points incurred during one race weekend. As much as it was entertaining, some of his moves were way beyond the limits the same as the Sprint. He is likely really close to a race ban…

The new Sprint weekend format is much better this year. I prefer it to last year and it is more engaging than three practice sessions. I am not sure all the drivers would agree but I think it is better to have more action and it does seem to mix things up a bit. I just finished watching the Sprint race and I have to say I loved it. I think that the opening crash that led to Norris and Stroll retiring should have been investigated and not written off as a racing incident. I understand it was a first…
