Feeling good

After days of sorting, I finally found some time to enjoy the new setup for gaming. Spent some time setting up and then cruising around using the wheel. The seating setup is not 100% there but it worked well enough. Everything is in easy reach so I can more easily jump in going forward. The switch is also set up in there too (had to dust it off it has been so long) so I’ll be diving make into some Nintendo gaming too. A nice chill room is just what I needed, I think.

This may not seem like much, but I have been posting on social media more (primarily BlueSky) and even though I still got a little anxious, everything was cool. A lot of chill people to talk to. I am so glad I left twitter/x. It seemed that every time I posted there no matter what it was, I would get troll comments or someone just out for an argument. I am all for discussions but not when it devolves into insults (sometimes that happened straight away.) Anyway, if it goes that way again, I will take another break from it. Life is too short, and I need to protect my mental health.

Meanwhile in F1, the race in Qatar on the weekend was absolute chaos! Penalties and crashing left and right. I am so happy that Zhou got some points and driver of the day in the race though! Was well deserved. McLaren should have won the constructors title, but Lando didn’t lift off under yellow flag conditions so ended up with a 10 second stop and go penalty. Some say there was no danger on the track like a Marshall or something so the penalty should have been lighter, but Lando would not necessarily have known that in the car and should have lifted. The rule is there for a reason. Lando himself said it was a penalty. Such as shame as the battle between Max and him was heating up.

A wing mirror came off a Williams car on the straight and just sat there on the track for lap after lap. The FIA just sat on their hands until the inevitable happened and it was driven over. Followed quickly by two punctures for Hamilton and Sainz. Completely avoidable with a virtual safety or full safety car. Through it all however, Max still took the win while Perez DNF’d. I think that this season may be the last for Perez at Red Bull. There are certainly rumours floating around to that effect although nothing official. A shame but he has been on a downward slide in performance and results for quite some time. Costing Red Bull the constructors championship this year is likely the last straw.

In other news, I’ve picked back up on Android app development and I will be releasing an app in the next year. It’ll be more of a utility app, and I’ve not quite worked out the full details but as I get closer, I will share more here.

Stay frosty.
