Taking the plunge

I’ve been thinking about streaming for quite some time. Not on a regular basis but just to try it out. The thing is I get quite anxious and the thought of doing it has put me off quite a bit. I have set up OBS and run some local tests although I have not set up a capture card yet. I plan on streaming Planet Crafter for a couple of reasons but mostly because I am familiar with it so if I have stream problems, I can handle it better (it also pauses.)

I am not sure that I will stream regularly or even if I will like it but if I never try, I’ll never know. Even if I end up streaming and nobody comes in I am cool with that. I am also considering posting the recordings of the game play to YouTube too.

The only thing I am concerned about is that it Planet Crafter is not particularly exciting to watch. The again, I am not really going to do this for other people but for myself. I think that is the best way to be. I see some people on Twitch just streaming what is popular and appearing not to enjoy it just for the numbers. As this is never going to be a full time thing and I have a full time job this will never be more than a hobby.
